Last December, during the Minister for Justice’s official visit to the Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC), discussions were held regarding future cooperation in the field of arbitration. SHIAC has since informed the Ministry that it is currently renewing its Panel of Arbitrators as part of its regular term based appointments.
SHIAC has expressed a strong interest in strengthening professional and institutional ties with Malta. In this regard, they have extended an invitation for Maltese legal professionals with relevant expertise to apply for inclusion in their renewed Panel of Arbitrators. This initiative also forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international legal cooperation and broaden professional engagement in the field of arbitration.
Given the high regard in which Maltese practitioners are held internationally, this presents a valuable opportunity for wider engagement, enhanced visibility, and further legal exchange between our jurisdictions.
