Scholarship for master's degree in middle ages & the early modern period (palaeography) 

The Ministry for Justice, Culture and Local Government informs the public that the call for applications for a scholarship for a Master's Degree in Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period (Palaeography), financed by the Office of the Notary to Government, is being extended by two weeks, with effect from Friday 28th June 2019. 

For the purposes of this call, applications may be received from applicants who are officially accepted to follow a programme of study on a full-time basis at MQF Level 7 for the duration of one year at an officially recognised accredited institution. The applicable regulations and application are accessible through the website​ 

The closing date for submission of applications is being extended till Friday 12th July 2019 at noon (local time). Applications should be accompanied by the original Unconditional Letter of Acceptance (ULA) issued by the accepting officially recognised institution. Unconditional Letters of Acceptance (ULA) which differ from section 3.29 of the regulations, are also accepted as long as the necessary information is produced by the applicants. 1. A copy of the I.D. Card;
2. A copy of the residence permit (where applicable);
3. A copy of the applicant’s HEI (including University) transcripts (Applicant should be in
possession of an undergraduate degree with honours, as a minimum, in a relevant discipline in the
4. A copy of the application with an accredited university of the applicant’s choice
indicating the applicant’s intention to commence the course in September 2019;
5. The original Unconditional Letter of Acceptance from an accredited university of the
applicant’s choice (Applicant to submit this by the closing date of the applications i.e. by, Friday 28th
June 2019 Noon (local time));
6. A copy of the MQRIC evaluation report (where applicable);
7. A copy of Curriculum Vitae;
8. A copy of an ‘O’ Level standard certification in Latin (Applicants who are sitting for their
‘O’ Level examination in Latin in the coming sessions need to present a copy of their application. If
selected, candidates will need to present a copy of the final result indicating a PASS or better in the
9. Proof of satisfaction of one or more of the eligibility criteria (including residential permit if
applicable in case of 4.1 b.c and d; copy of passport in case of Maltese Citisenship (4.1a)).
